Our Guruji and Methodology
Combining The Study of Both Vedas and Shastras Is Central To Our Gurukulam.
God who has created and rules over this Universe can be realised only through the Vedas. The meaning of the Vedas can be known definitively through Shastras. The Vedas and Shastras are like our eyes with which we can make our spiritual quest for Moksha. This is the quintessence of Sriman Madhvacharya’s teaching.
Shastra emphasises that no karma performed by a Brahmana gives complete results if they are performed without the Adhyayana of Vedas. To understand the right spirit of these karmas, Shaastra Gnana is highly important. But today vidyarthis learning Vedas are not learning Shastras while people learning Shastras do not give prominence to learning the Vedas, although they may spend 10 years in Adhyanana.
In ancient times both Vedas and Shastras were learned and mastered. Rejuvenating this system is the main aim of Sri Trayee Vidya Gurukulam. This was also the dream and advice of our Guruji Sri Parashuramachar, Adhyapaka of Sirugamani Paatashala. Our Guruji taught us that it is important to learn the Vedas by heart (Kantastha) at a young age alongside the Shastras to realise and enjoy the grace of God to its fullest extent.
With the blessings of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu and the blessings of our Guru Parampara, our Gurukulam was started in 2009 and has been pioneering combined Veda and Shastra Adhyana over just 15 years (instead of 10+10 years).
